Create your own installer using NSIS

Screengrab_91 Distributing files for download across the Internet isn't always easy, especially if you're supplying them on a free-of-charge basis. Buying and using a professional-level installer development tool is probably overkill for what you're intending. You simply want to get your application or files, installed within the right place on the end-users machine.

With this in mind, we can recommend a couple of free installer design tools. NSIS 2.22 is a superb installer maker that will create anything from a basic 'copy the files to this location' installer to a more advanced routine that will search the Internet for new updates, before it finishes the installation routine.

Inno Setup 5.1.8 is another free option and has been around for a long while.
