As DVDs are getting cheaper, we're buying more of these 'buy 3 for £x' through various sales and regular offers. However, the cheaper they get, the more we have on our shelves. If a friend asks us whether they can borrow a DVD, how do you know who has your DVD? One way is to catalogue your DVDs and other media within an application, so you know exactly which media is stored within your collection.
MediaMan 2.66.2 is a media management tool that enables you to use your webcam to scan in the barcodes from your DVDs and to extract the information from Amazon. You can extract the review, artwork and much more. You can also scan in your audio CDs, books and other media. Now, if only there was a plan to enable users to set up a scheme where they can look at other collections, borrow from each other any more, much like how iTunes enables you to share your playlist with other users.
