Run Vista on your Intel Mac with Bootcamp 1.2

Screengrab As recently as last week, analysts were stating that the new Mac OS X, Leopard, would be delayed because Apple wanted to support Windows Vista within Bootcamp. Bootcamp enables Intel Mac owners to create a Windows partition, install Windows XP SP2 and run Windows, natively, on their Mac. It works like a charm, too. I purchased a refurbished Apple iMac 20¨ from the Apple UK online store, installed Bootcamp and run Windows XP without any issues. It flies, too.

Apple Bootcamp 1.2 has been released and this enables you to run Windows Vista (32-bit version) on your Mac. Indeed, there's no reason why you couldn't set up three partitions so that you're running Mac OS X, Vista and Windows XP SP2. For existing Bootcamp users, there are improvements. For instance, you can now use the Apple remote with iTunes and Windows Media Player, updated drivers, a built-in Apple Software Update tool and much more. Check out Apple Bootcamp 1.2.
