For me, one of the worst parts of Mac OS X is the Finder. It's so basic, so simple, especially after using a tool such as Directory Opus 8 on a PC. Windows Explorer isn't that much better, certainly in Windows XP. The Vista Explorer has had a bit of a revamp, but it still appears to be designed for the novice user, rather than anyone who knows how to work with their system files. The answer is a Windows Explorer replacement tool.
xplorer2 is a tool that you can use to replace Windows Explorer and will enable you to perform a number of essential tasks, such as open a dual-Explorer window, which means you can quickly copy files from one destination to another. Once you've used Windows Explorer tool, you won't want to go back to standard Explorer. Whilst where here, Directory Opus 9 has recently been launched - check back tomorrow for a Junky update.
