« Complete hard drive maintenance: Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 | Main | Take your passwords on the go using RoboForm2Go 6.9.3 »
If the free space you were given when you signed up to your ISP isn't enough for you to use for backing up your important data, supplying files to your family and friends or for your commercial store, you could justify your own server. You can purchase a server for as little as £30/month and often ship with unlimited bandwidth, so it doesn't matter how many times you upload and download from your space. The snag is, how do you manage the contents of the server?
CuteFTP 8.0.6 Home is a commercial FTP tool that you can use to upload files to and from either your server, free homepage or download from any standard FTP site. It's fast and full of features, but you need to ask yourself whether you need to purchase a commercial FTP site to manage your files? There are others available, including the fantastic free SmartFTP 2.5. Personally, I can't do without the FTP support built in to Directory Opus 9. Well, I can't do without Directory Opus 9, full stop!
