« Forthcoming Firefox 3 beta, with interface refresh | Main | Preview the latest version of Gizmo Project 4 »
At the moment, it seems that developers are falling over
themsel
ves trying to give us their office suite, completely free of charge.
Only recently, IBM offered the first beta preview of their Lotus Symphony
suite, which consists of a word processor, spreadsheet and presentation tool.
It's Microsoft Office compatible and also enables you to read and write to the
open document format.
OxygenOffice Professional 2.3 was
recently released and this can be described as OpenOffice 2.3 on steroids. If you
like OpenOffice, you'll appreciate OxygenOffice
even more. You get all the features, plus a huge collection of free clipart,
preview documents and templates. This means it's even easier to get your
documents produced as quickly as possible. Of course, OxygenOffice is also Microsoft Office
compatible, so you can read and write to non-Office 2007 based documents.
