Find that elusive song with Tunatic

Screengrab_3 When we hear a track we like, maybe through a radio or a TV advert, we get on iTunes or other online music store and purchase. That’s providing you know the track title or artists name. If you don’t have this information, finding the track, especially if it’s an old or rare recording, can prove virtually impossible. Most music hosted online is from the last few years and old recordings are not always available. Where do you begin searching? The chances of you stumbling across it are very slim.

Tunatic 1.0.1 is a clever and useful tool that enables you to play a track back to it, either by using a microphone or other sound source. The software can then identify the song by comparing the melody against a large and regularly updated database, hopefully identifying the track you are looking for.
