Use your IT knowledge to make money through LogMeInRescue
If you're an avid system user, but no programmer, there's no reason why you couldn't make use of your IT resources to make some money. For instance, there are a wide number of novice users who simply cannot understand how to perform basic tasks. They won't want anyone they don't know, in their house, and you won't probably want to visit a strangers house to fix their machine. Once there, you'll end up staying a lot longer than you'd expect.
LogMeInRescue is an online tool that you can use to administer, access and even control a remote computer. It's expensive, at $99 per month, but this money could be recouped by using your skills to login - safely - to other people's computer and spend time showing them how to perform tasks, cleanse their machine, fix issues and a lot more.
