Backing up data to CD or DVD isn't a task many of us enjoy. What's the point? The disc is soon out of date, so you'd probably back to burn data to a disc once a week, or more, to make backing up your data, worthwhile. Most of us do not realise that we're given free web space when we sign up to broadband, so there's no reason we can't use this to backup our most important files and other data.
East-Tec Backup 2007 is our free full commercial download this week, worth £20. It will enable you to backup the traditional way (to disc, or external drive), but you can also backup to a remote FTP site or your web space. Of course, you can restore your data at any time in the future, too. Schedule a regular backup and you can be assured that your backup data is always up-to-date.
