Accessing commonly used directories can be tedious, Windows Explorer does a great job at managing files, but navigating to a single location repeatedly could be done more quickly. There are free, easy to use alternatives, some of which can be customised to fulfil your needs. Some third party utilities enable you to set directory paths for regularly accessed folders; you can also create lists of directories and view one or multiple windows.
Side-By-Side Explorer 2.0 is a small but useful application that runs I your system tray, providing quick access to your most visited directories via multiple explorer windows. It’s a handy tool for anyone going back and forth through directories and folders.
