Almost anyone who has installed an anti spyware application assumes that they're fairly safe. However, even with the very latest spyware protection applications, you can't always be sure. As with other anti-virus applications, much of the security is provided by systematic checks, updates and so on. This free version is a useful tool but does require you to manually check your machine, so you'll probably benefit from purchasing the professional version which offers more pro-active protection.
