Backup and share files with other users using Dropbox

A simple backup program will enable you to make a backup of your drive, partition or a selection of files and then restore when you encounter problems in the future. Next generation 'backup' software now enables you synchronise your data across your computers. If you own a desktop and laptop, you might want the work documents you've been finishing on your laptop, on your desktop and the fonts shared across both machines.

Dropbox 0.6.402 is a tool that goes even further. Backup files online, synchronise across computers (PC, Mac or Linux), but also share certain files with other users. For example, enable other users to see and download your favourite desktop images, photos of your kids or, if you're working in a team, the latest presentation you've finished and need others to approve.
