Get a detailed audit of installed components with Belarc Advisor
When its time to purchase a new computer there are a number of things to consider, and if you haven't done your research you can easily come unstuck. Many computer manufacturers advertise their products with various facts and figures, some you may understand but others are a little vaguer which can be frustrating when comparing machines. Obviously manufacturers need to make a profit on each machine and sometimes cut corners to save themselves money, the trouble is that manufacturers can disguise poor components in seemingly 'good value' packages. Belarc Advisor 7.2 is a useful freeware application that will perform a detailed audit on your computer, identifying all installed hardware and operating systems. By performing a thorough audit you can identify how well your system is really performing, or if it matches the manufacturers advertised figures.
