Protect your inbox using the free Agnitum Spam Terrier
We have a problem with the full commercial applications we offer through our magazines and on vnunet.com. The problem is that many ISPs implement server-side anti-spam filters to protect your inbox from the huge amounts of spam you'd normally expect to receive. Snag is that this server-side filter system also stops some of the more legitimate email, especially from various .com software developers. The server thinks it's a spam message and the end user never even sees it in their mailbox and often doesn't even realise that their ISP is filtering their email on the server. Quite frankly, they don't understand nor want to understand. Result is that we get it in the neck when they don't receive their free code.
Agnitum Spam Terrier 2.0.164 is a completely free anti-spam filter that resides on your computer. This would enable you to turn off the anti-spam filter that your ISP users (you can do this in your webmail preferences) and train Agnitum Spam Terrier to only filter the more aggressive spam and to check your own junk mail folder, on your PC, to see whether any legitimate email has been filtered by accident.
The latest Agnitum Spam Terrier now supports 64-bit operating systems, including various 64-bit email clients. Better still, it works with Outlook, Vista Mail, The Bat and many others, so you can use the same filter system across more than one email client.
