Repair a computer that wont boot using System Rescue CD

The constant maintenance required to maintain a smooth running PC can be tiresome, and sometimes it still isn't enough to keep your machine error free. Many of us deal with computer issues on a daily basis, many of these problems are minor but others can be more serious. Viral infection at it's most serious may prevent your machine from booting correctly, which can not only prevent you from identifying the problem but it can also make it extremely difficult when trying to rectify it. Without taking drastic steps, how do you go about recovering your machine and the files stored on it?

System Rescue CD 1.1.4 is a freeware utility containing a selection of programs on a bootable CD designed to repair Windows. As it's a bootable CD it doesn't require Windows to start and is still able to read files from the Windows hard disk. It will also access the Internet in an attempt to find answers to any problems.
