It seems a fair amount of time since the last service pack for Microsoft Office 2007. Of course, a service pack only contains fixes and updates that have been released since the original software (or service pack), but people are keen to update, regardless. For example, the latest SP2 contains a number of enhancements that should help speed up the original Office 2007. Always a bonus - using Outlook is still as slow as ever and could do with a speed boost. The big problem is, unlike SP1, we couldn't get SP2 to install on our test computer. Will every possible app closed, the installer managed to get half the way through before stating there was a problem.
Microsoft Office 2007 SP2 is available to download as a standalone installer. There are some new features, including support for the OpenDocument format. You can also update Office 2007 through Windows Update (recommended by Microsoft) or order it on a DVD.
